Anacapa Filmmakers Honored at ‘LiVe the 8’ Student Film Fest

Filmmakers in Anacapa’s Digital Voyage: Media Studio Course were honored on May 31 at Santa Ynez Valley High School as the first runners up in the highly competitive ‘LiVe the 8′ Student Film Festival.  Ethan, Hanna, Lara and Lottie were charged with the task of creating a short a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to motivate a young audience to adopt healthy habits such as eating well and increasing exercise.  The Anacapa students’ entry was chosen by a panel of media experts as one of the top two overall entries from among more than 70 pieces from schools throughout the Central Coast.

The students won a cash prize which will be used to purchase additional digital media resources for the school.
