Living Voices Theater: La Causa

Living Voices Theater, an annual Breakfast Club visitor, returned again this year with Yolanda, who depicted the struggles of migrant workers in the U.S. and the efforts of Cesar Chavez. Yolanda combined a live monologue with video and recorded audio to demonstrate what it might have been like for a young woman in the midst of strikes, non-violent protests and the creation of the United Farm Workers Association. She stressed that although migrant workers won rights during this battle, the struggle continues today to ensure delivery of those rights to workers in the U.S. and other countries.
